Trump’s ‘New Communication Platform’ is mainly a weblog

Former US President Donald Trump launched a new “communication platform” on Tuesday that he can use to talk to his supporters, even though he is currently banned from Twitter and Facebook.

So far, the reaction from Twitter users seems to have been a collective shrug.

According to Fox News, the platform bears the catchy title “From The Desk Of Donald J. Trump” and can be accessed via Trump’s website.

Currently, FTDODJT (a term absolutely no one uses) allows the former president to post tweet-like posts destroying his enemies, false news, and humiliating election loss.

However, it does not yet allow its followers to publish their sycophantic responses.

“This is just a one-way communication,” an inside source told FoxNews. “This system enables Trump to communicate with his supporters.”

The page was launched just a day before Facebook’s independent oversight body, which NPR says is supposed to uphold the site’s perpetual Trump ban.

While there is apparently a lack of the flaws associated with Frank, the social media platform recently launched by Trump supporter Mike Lindell, many say that “From The Desk by Donald J. Trump” is more likely is a blast from the past than from the future of social media.
