Rachel Riley spells ‘Poo Anally’ on the countdown and responds accordingly

Rachel Riley had the perfect answer after serving up a rather smelly solution to a puzzle in the latest installment of Countdown.

The presenter couldn’t hide her grin as “anally” was offered as the solution to a riddle on Channel 4’s number and letter quiz show on Friday.

But to top it off, the remaining letters of the anagram had left “poo” on the board.

Rachel has now hosted 3,000 episodes of Countdown since taking over former math expert Carol Vorderman in 2008.

On this occasion, she was visited by her partner, the former Strictly Come Dancing professional Pasha Kovalev, and her daughter Maven in the studio and also presented with flowers by the production team.

Rachel tweeted, “I loved my surprise visitors for my 3,000th show today! One of them was particularly disappointed when it was time to leave. “

She added, “I’ll always be the new girl, but who can believe it’s been 3,000 shows! Thank you Countdown Family.”

Earlier this week, Countdown came under fire when a competitor’s answer to a seven-letter gay questionnaire was left in the program.

Channel 4 later apologized and admitted that they had done something wrong.

“The broadcast of the word was a misjudgment,” said the broadcaster.

“It is not up to our values and we apologize for any insults caused.”

The countdown will be broadcast on channel 4 at 2:15 p.m. on weekdays.
