50 Cent has apologized to Madonna for his comments on her recent Instagram pictures.
The Vogue singer made headlines last month with a provocative bedroom photo shoot that was shot in (and under) her bed.
50 Cent had shared the snaps, including the one of her under the bed, and compared them to the Wicked Witch of the East from The Wizard of Oz, where Madonna’s legs were Photoshoped under a house from the movie.
He added: “Starz is asking me to do a remake, I just said if Madonna will play the role because I need power and sex appeal in this star.”
In another caption he wrote: “This is Madonna under the bed trying to play like a virgin at 63. She shot out if she couldn’t get her old ass up.”
After his comments caught Madonna’s attention, she gave a scathing response on Instagram.
In her story she wrote: “Here are 50 cents pretending to be my friend. Now you’ve made up your mind to talk about me!
“I think your new career is getting noticed by trying to humiliate others on social media, the least exalted decision you can make as an artist and an adult.
“You’re just jealous that she doesn’t look as good as me or has as much fun when you’re my age! It’s a shame that there are no emojis with sour grapes. “
Madonna then posted a video of her with a green alien filter adding, “Cheer up, things could get worse, for example you could be me. Personally, I like the way I look, but there are people who find it difficult to appreciate people and things that are different.
“And they’re trying to shame me, or humiliate me, or make me feel less than because I’m not like everyone else.
“But I actually appreciate my uniqueness and have become stronger, because to be unique means to be rare.”
50 Cent has now apologized on Twitter and wrote: “I must have hurt Madonna’s feelings, she dug up an old MTV photo from 03. Okay, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.
“I don’t get any benefit from it anyway. I said what I thought when I saw the picture because I’d seen it before. I hope you will accept my apology.”

50 Cent’s original posts no longer appear on his Instagram page.
Madonna had previously called Instagram for removing one of the photos from her photoshoot because one of her nipples was exposed.
She was boiling with anger: “I am still amazed that we live in a culture that allows every inch of the female body to be shown except for a nipple. As if that were the only part of the female anatomy that could be sexualized. The nipple that feeds the baby!
“Can’t you experience a man’s nipple as erotic ?? !! And what about a woman’s ass that isn’t censored anywhere. “
